Oh. My. Creeper.

So last night I was roaming the neighborhood with my sister and friends Ryan K. and Ryan M., we were in Ryan M.'s little golf cart thingy. it doesn't go very fast so we were just driving around different streets in our neighborhood. All of the sudden a little red and white truck starts following us, and I started getting creeped out. We started making turns to see if it would follow us...and at every turn it did. We made one more turn and yet again it followed us. We decided to drive to our young women leaders house, so we drove there and the car kept following us. We finally reached her house and as soon as we stopped the truck stopped across the street and let someone out, and that person started walking down the sidewalk and the truck drove away. We ran up to the door and got inside and talked to our leader for like 10 or 15 min., and then we looked outside and we couldn't see anybody. we went back to his golf cart thingy and to top things off...it was dead. So we had to push it back to my house and let it charge while we went swimming! It was a really fun night....just a little creepy!

17 Miracles

My family and I went and saw the movie 17 Miracles. It was an amazing movie. It was about the Willie handcart company and all the miracles that happened to them on the way to the Salt Lake Valley. I invited my friend Haeley along and along with Faith we were all crying our eyes out. But it helped put my trials into perspective. I can now look back on that movie and see that what trials I am going through are really not that bad. Things have a way of working out. And it was even more amazing that I was able to go on trek before seeing this movie because it helped to put things into perspective to, and on the trek we talked alot about the Willie handcart company so I was already familiar with some of the stories.
If you have not seen this movie, you should.......as soon as possible! :)

Trek

Trek was one of the most amazing expeirences I have ever had. I met my family on Wednesday night- my family was the largest and my Ma and Pa were the oldest. I had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. not only were we the largest family we were the closest family. I love my family and I miss them tons! When I started walking with my family on Thursday morning I immedietly knew I loved them! Michael- the cute and funny one is like a big brother to me now and I am so greatful I was put in his family and we are now friends. Paige and I bonded tons while we were on the trek - especially during the womens pull! I am so thankful that Kayle and I were put in the same family so I started out knowing someone. And I am so grateful to Pheobe, Haley, Weston, Dustin, and Jon for all the fun times we had together. I have to say that I honestly think that my family was the closest. I came home on Saturday night and it felt really, really wierd to be home and for it to be quiet, because on trek I had 12 other people around me all the time but at home I only had 3. I almost started crying-no joke- because I missed my family so much! I loved and still love my trek family and I hope we stay in contact. I know Heavenly Father put me in that family so that I would have a great experience on trek. I loved trek and I would definetly go again if I got the chance!

Bear story!

On Sunday up at girls camp some girls left some Rocky Road ice cream and red velvet cake out on their tables and a bear came. Some girls were still in their cabin When the bear came to their ramada/porch thingy. The girls ran down to the lodge but there was still a girl sleeping in the cabin. The leaders started ringing the bell- I didn't think it was anything important so I just stayed in my bed. Anna went down to the lodge to see if they needed us, and she ran back to our cabin and told us there was a bear. All of the other girls and I in our cabin ran down to the lodge. We stayed inside the lodge for about 45 min.. They chased the bear away and told us there was nothing to worry about. the next morning a girl in our cabin, Amber, sat up in bed and told us calmly there was a bear outside. No one believed her because of how calm she was. We asked her if she saw the bear and she said that there was one right outside. We all got up and looked out the window, and sure enough there was a bear right there. They chased it away and told us it was fine. We, the 4th years, left and did our hike and set up our tents. The bear had been sighted 3 more times at main camp and they were sending all the girls home. Luckily the 4th years were far away from main camp that they let us stay. We had an amazing time and now we have cool stories to tell!

Here are some pictures from camp:

GIRLS CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alrighty! So first I am sooo super excited school is out and second, what better way to say "happy summer" than going to girls camp 2 days after school gets out. To be honest....I wasn't looking forward to it. In the past I have always had a bad attitude about girls camp and I have always ALWAYS had a bad experience. I have either gotten sick or injured and it ruined the whole experience for me. Let me just tell you straight out, this year was TOTALLY different! I had an amazing time and it was one of the most exciting and spiritual experiences I have ever had! This year I was a 4th year or A camper. This is when all the girls your same age leave camp and go on an over night hiking adventure. So all the girls rode up to camp Lomia on the bus on Saturday. We get there have a great time doing crafts and activities. then Sunday comes along we have an amazing church service and a life changing eveining program. Then comes monday morning, this is the morning I have been looking forward to for 4 years. There is some unwritten rule that being a 4th year gives you great honor and muturaty...at least I think so. We drive to our hike, we hike and then we go to our camping site. We set up our tents and a pair of twins in our ward have a little sister rivalry, and we are getting ready to eat dinner. (Ohhh did I forget to mention that a bear had been sited twice at main camp before we left.....I will tell that story later!) All the sudden we are told we have to take down camp because all the girls are being sent home because the bear had been sited 4 more times. Half of us are upset we have to leave the other half are excited. The leaders than made an excecutive decision and.......WE STAYED! I was soooooooo happy. I had an amazing time, the devotionals were amazing, and there was NO drama. Can you believe it? I can't! But I am extremely happy that there wasn't! thanks to all the girls who made it and awesome time. I will post pictures and tell the bear story soon!
