Family

This weekend my Aunt, Jeri, and her two daughters, Molly and Rachel, flew down from Utah to see me in The Scarlet Pimpernel. I had such a fun time with them, even though I could only be with them for a few hours since I had shows. They are so supportive of me and I am so happy that they like to watch me perform. They are all so cute and I just love them all so much!

Ending

Saturday was the last showing of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I have so many fond memories from this play and I am going to miss everyone terribly! Especially my dressing room buddies: Brynn, Belle, Jessie, Geneal, Kennedy, and most of all Madison. She's moving to California this summer so this was her last AYT play. Which is a huge bummer because I just got to know her and I won't be able to be in another play with her. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to be in this play and to meet such amazing actors. The people I met while doing this production are now some of my closest friends. I love them all, and will miss them deeply, thanks for such a great time :)

Updates!

Sorry about not posting for a while. Hopefully I can catch you all up in this blog post. My friend Haeley turned 16 on Jan. 12 and for her birthday I took her to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. She had never seen the movie before and Beauty and the Beast came out in theaters the day after her birthday. There were onlly 6 other people in the theater and it was 3 little girls with their moms. Haeley and I decided that there is something wrong with us because we were in a theater at a Disney movie with a bunch of little girls and we were crying. How lame? Hahahaha! It was fun though and I loved the movie.

Opening Night for The Scarlet Pimpernel is tonight! Ahhhhhhh! We had a really, REALLY bad tech rehersal last night so.....hopefully we can pull it off! :) It was a uber stressful night last night, a lot of props weren't there, so many costumes weren't finished, and it was our first time on the stage so we had to redo some of the blocking because of the lights....I could go on for a while, but I'll stop. I'm really grateful for this oppurtunity that I have had to be in this production and I love AYT! Here is a picture of the four main characters:

Nothing super exciting has happened lately, so that's about it for my updates. Ta ta!

West Side Story

Today I decided to watch the movie West Side Story. AYT the acting studio is doing this musical as one of their summer shows. I have seen the movie before, it's the plot of Romeo and Julliete. It is such a sad movie, and I was sitting on my couch crying. I am excited to audition for this show, and I can hit some of the really high notes that the main girl, Maria, can hit! Oh, and just a little tid bit, I got my permit on Monday and it's NOT a horrible picture of me. Yay!

Jesus Christ

Today in Young Women's we had a really good lesson. It was about our Savior Jesus Christ. The lesson was all about the Atonement and the the sacrifice that He gave to atone for all of our sins. I recently finished my Personal Progress for the 2nd time and one of the things I decided to do as a project was memorize The Living Christ. It was such a cool experience for me. I had never read The Living Christ before and I was really missing out. I love my Savior and I am so grateful for everything He has done for me. He is my best friend :)

Christmas and New Years Eve

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while, winter break has been a little more hectic than expected. Christmas was lots of fun. Here are some gifts I got and who they were from.
Rainbow monkey/bear hat-Steven
New I-pod- Santa
New Scriptures-Mom and Dad
Earrings, Gardettos, and Charm-Santa
Nancy Drew books and Clothes-Mom and Dad
Homemade slippers, Ornament, and Watch-Grandma and Grandpa McLaws
Notebook, Pen, and Money- Grandma and Grandpa Matsen
and lots more...

It was so fun to spend the day with family and I am so glad Christmas was on a Sunday, because we got to go to church and feel the spirit.

New Years I went to a friend party. We ate pizza, played Curses, played Just Dance on the Wii, played Farkle, threw around a Volleyball, and did some Sparklers. It was a great ending to a great year. I have 2 resolutions for this year:

-Never miss a day of reading the Book of Mormon
-Go off sugar

Hopefully this way I will be physically and spiritually healthy. Last year I did some pretty big things and it's kinda crazy to look back at them.

-Finished Personal Progress for the second time
-Went off sugar half way through the year
-Left Heritage Academy

This year some pretty big things will be happening to:

-Getting my Permit
-Turning 16
-Getting my License
-Going to my first semester of College

I am taking some pretty big steps this year and am excited to see what this year brings!
